Metalworking fluids (MWFs) are used to reduce heat and friction and to remove metal particles in industrial machining and grinding operations.

   Soluble Cutting Oil (Water miscible fluids)

     Water miscible fluids offer the best cooling. If the speed increases more than 30m per minute during machining, the lubricating   ability of the fluid becomes comparatively unimportant relative to cooling because of the greater rate of heat generation; water   miscible fluids become the preferred choice. Some of the water miscible fluids with enhanced lubricating power may even replace   neat cutting oils. Water miscible fluids form mixtures ranging from emulsions to solutions when mixed with water. Due to high specific   heat, high thermal conductivity and high heat of vaporization, water is one of the most effective cooling media known. Blended with   water, water miscible fluids provide the combined cooling and lubrication required for the metal removal operation conducted at high   speeds and at lower pressures.

     Water miscible fluids are available many forms and variations. Distinction between these are usually based on appearance and performance. However, when mixed with water, these fluids can be classified on the basis of appearance as soluble oils (milky emulsions), semi-synthetics, and synthetic or chemical fluids. High performance water miscible metalworking fluids series are available as soluble, semi-synthetic & synthetic types and suitable for use with water of varying hardness for machining of ferrous, aluminum and non-ferrous metals & alloys. These oils offer enhanced sump life, increased tool performance as well as good resistance to bacteria, corrosion and foaming. These products have good skin compatibility and are free from toxic ingredients, thereby eliminating disposal related problems.

  Neat Cutting Oil

      Neat oils provide the best lubrication. High quality neat cutting oils are based on severely refined narrow cut base oils and designed   for general purpose to severe machining operations of all metals. As a general rule, neat oils are used for more difficult operations,   whereas heavy cuts are preferred where fine finishes are required. These machining conditions generally require cutting speeds of   less than 100 surface feet (30m) per minute.
      Power Mec neat cutting oils are formulated using best quality hydro-cracked base oils, natural fats, synthetic esters, anti-wear   agents, Extreme Pressure agents containing chlorine/ sulphur / phosphorous, as well as other ingredients. Chlorine free versions are   also available. Some of the Ferrocut oils are low evaporating & anti-mist type. Biodegradable products free from mineral oil are also   included in the product range.
